Prior to your first experience with smoking, you may have heard that cigarettes were addictive and thought that this could never happen to you. Until the habit turned into a dependency that you now find difficult to break.

Hypnotherapy allows you to work directly with your subconscious mind, the part of your mind that is responsible for your behaviour and your automatic bodily responses.

A typical stop smoking hypnotherapy session

Our hypnotherapy smoking cessation session typically lasts for at least 2 hours.

This provides us with enough time to cover all of the essential aspects of your smoking habit.

We begin the session by discussing your goals and most importantly your reasons for wanting to stop smoking. We also explore your smoking pattern throughout your day. To help identify your smoking triggers (these are key moments during the day when you are more likely to want to smoke).

All of this information can then be used to create a bespoke guided hypnosis session, which consists of a guided gentle relaxation, helping you to feel more at ease, and allowing full access into your subconscious mind to inspire your natural motivation and confidence, which is needed in order for you to become a non-smoker.

I do not use ready made, generic scripts printed from books or the internet. Each client will experience a completely unique and original approach that has been tailor made to work for the individual.

I will also provide you with practical tips and research material for you to read after the session, with suggested homework for you to practice.

This 2 hour comprehensive session is often enough for clients make the transition from a smoker who wants to quit, ready to quit, and say goodbye for good to their negative habit*.

All sessions will be complemented by counselling and other techniques to reinforce the positive changes from the hypnotherapy.
