Hypnotherapy for Anxiety

Hypnotherapy for Anxiety

If anxiety is having a negative impact on your life, and you’d rather use a natural, medication-free approach that works at the root of the issue, hypnotherapy may be the solution you’re looking for. Most of my clients see success within 4 sessions, and I can help you too.

Feelings of anxiety come from your subconscious and therefore are not under your control. As hypnotherapy works on a subconscious level, the part of your mind that is responsible for behaviour and emotions, I am able to work at the root of the problem and essentially reprogramme your mind to prevent those unwanted feelings of anxiety and negative thoughts.

Personalised hypnotherapy sessions

My hypnotherapy sessions are uniquely tailored to you based on information gained from our initial, free consultation, and during our sessions. Whether you are experiencing a general, unexplained anxiety or an anxiety that is related to a specific event or a trauma, I can help you. Hypnotherapy is a gentle, safe, and relaxed way to resolve your anxiety.

Many with anxiety don’t understand what is causing it, feel further anxiety because of the lack of control, and often feel physical symptoms that can be very unpleasant. The usual treatment for anxiety is medication, which doesn’t always work and can have side-effects. It also doesn’t resolve the root cause for the anxiety, which is different for everyone.

Hypnotherapy sessions involve gentle guided visualisation techniques to promote well being and encourage your mind to reprogramme itself to create the changes that are necessary.

What to expect from our sessions

We begin by discussing your experiences to find out as much about how your anxiety has affected you. This allows me to create a unique programme to help you overcome the condition. Hypnotherapy sessions are tailor-made to suit each individual: no generic script reading or CDs.

All sessions will be complemented by counselling and other techniques to reinforce the positive changes from the hypnotherapy, such as EFT (emotional freedom technique) – an energy tapping therapy – which can be very effective in treating anxiety.

What is anxiety and its symptoms?

What is anxiety and who does it affect?

Anxiety can be described as our body’s way of responding to a stressful situation, circumstance or period in our lives. Anxiety can be experienced by most people at one point or another. Professional athletes, entertainers, and politicians will use anxiety to help them preform at their peak.

Anxiety becomes problematic, however, when we are not able to manage, or channel this energy in a positive way; we may develop an anxious reaction to situations and circumstances and feel unable to cope with our response. This can be extremely stressful and difficult to resolve on your own.

Anxiety can be described as specific (relating to an event) or general (when you may experience the symptoms all of the time). If you feel that anxiety is affecting you in this way please continue reading to find out how hypnotherapy can help you.
